so, what's it about? well, it's about 4 nerds/geek or whatever you want to call it, with a hot blonde neighbor. well, i'm sure you can guess what happen next. geek/nerd meet the world :P

trust me it's interesting, i gurantee you that. watch it and tell me, and i'll skin myself alive. but if i get a laugh out of you promise you will continue watching :P

malaysia food? NOT!

so, it's been a while since i posted... well, there is a reason... finals exam week, and no, i don't want to talk about it. AND it's not because i'm doing so well in school. ANY attempts to bring it up with be treated with HOSTILE intend and a quick execution will take place instantly with a chance of appeal.
now, i'm done having some fun with my posting, let's get down to the real reason why i'm posting this. a while back, i said i wanted to try this new and fancy malaysian restaurant :P

so, being me i went in for the first time with no intend on eating but instead i just ask for a menu i can take out with me. i didn't feel like spending a lot of time in the restaurant deciding what i wanted to get. so i figure i'll return the next day for it.

two things caught my eye:
One was the word "popiah" under the appetizers... i was omg. could it BE? the very same popiah that i love to each every single chance i get in malaysia, be it at home or even in my most favourite hawker center, bee hooi. i think i spelt it right. it's the one located right by pulau tikus :P a bit pricey compared to normal hawker center (god am i cheap).

well, long story short, that was something i'm defiantely going to order even if it's going to cost me 3 bucks for one roll.

now the second thing that caught my eye too, is char koay teow. well, obviously it wasn't written in hokkien. it was more like fried koay teow... i think there was the word singapore in it somewhere... but who cares, the listed ingrediant is exactly right... omg, another favourite food right from my
favourite hawker center again... lawl

ok, so this is what i got...

took a bit too hungry to wait any longer :P

now let's start with the critique:

popiah:

PRO: correct wrapping used.
CON: they used raw vegetable instead of cooked ones (tasted like crap), nothing in it other than 2 types of vegetables, which i cannot recognize, they gave me SAUCE to dip it in (WTF?) since when does popiah uses extra sause where you have to dip it in.

Conclusion: the taste was just down right outrageous, i could have done a better job myself.

Char Koey Teow:

PRO: the ingrediants were right, chinese sausage, prawns, bean sprout and thick white noodles.
CON: no egg, overkill of soya sauce making my face cringe everytime i eat.

Conclusion: like the popiah the taste was completely outrageous and also because of the excessive used of soya sauce, i got a headache right after finish the meal.

to sum it up, i guess my search for a true malaysian food in US will go on... and let's end it with what i hope to eat here in US:

if you don't recognize this people, you ought to be shot in the face
btw, i stole all this picture, most came from this blog which i'm now following :P
ok, time to stop before i drool myself to death, if only i was joking.
